Week 3: The Part and The Whole

I decided to examine the entrance sequence - I feel that this part is most representative of "Raumplan", in relation to other 3D spaces that form the Villa Muller.

The Villa Muller is a complex building, with its rooms placed and arranged as cubic volumes in three dimensional space. It was incredibly difficult to understand the floor plans without the sections.

The "part" I have chosen from the "whole" is the entrance sequence - moving from the front door, up the stairs into the living room, and into the salon/boudoir. I feel this best represents Adolf Loos' use of Raumplan.

EXP 3: Final Submission

Power is the highly unstable - it is the bane of society. In a position of power, it is important to safeguard your sense of identity and purpose. It is incredibly risky, and vital not to forget your roots.With absolute commitment, you can make the world a better place.

Gaga on the left, Ive on the right.

Bridge Update

This bridge design feeds off the instability of power - how it takes favour. It is running with the flamboyance of Gaga, and eases towards the purposeful Ive. Support members are soon to be added, favouring Ive over Gaga. This is synonymous with the idea that Gaga is seen to be more powerful, in the spotlight - Ive behind the scenes to get her there.
